Actor, Model, Dancer, & Photographer - Steve Janousek doesn't want to be labeled any one category thus he feels he can be best summed up as an "artist". In the vein that an artist is one whom expresses their thoughts, feelings, & emotions in whatever medium that may be; whether it may be acting, modeling, dancing, or photography. The arts have always been a passion for Steve. He has danced at Express Yourself Dance Studio in Des Moines, taught at Joyce Maly Dance Studio in Altoona, worked on commercials in Iowa, competed in the I.M.T.A. Convention in New York, and after doing well in acting and dancing competitions and getting call-backs, as well as numerous award s-he moved to L.A. where he has worked on tv shows, movies, & music videos. "I feel very lucky to be doing something I enjoy and love; that has brought me around the country and to have worked with some great people - as well as to have met some celebrities whom you look up to". When asked about the nickname "Scuba Steve" he stated when the Adam Sandler movie "Big Daddy" came out - his friends and co-workers started calling him Scuba Steve; which ever since the movie has stuck on with him where ever he went. On how he started Serendipity Photography - he had studied graphic design and photography in school and while out in L.A. he needed to make money in between auditions, so he thought he would put what he learned in school to use. He started to shoot head-shots for his agency and has continued to build upon his portfolio. The name came by accidentally - "I felt my work was very serendipitous, that the best works came upon accidentally; which better suited me then what I was working for. Also I love the movie "Serendipity", which had a great story and two actors he likes - John Cusack and the beautiful Kate Beckinsale - thus Serendipity Photography was born. He continues work on his crafts in all fields and splits his time between Iowa and California.
He was born in Manila, Philippines; but grew up in Knoxville, Iowa after being adopted.
